Sydney Project

The brief: floral, moody + mid century

About the project

Nikki Weedon Interiors

When our client, a talented landscape architect, approached us to renovate her one bedroom apartment on the bustling Sydney Road in Brunswick, we knew we were in for a treat! She wanted to mix floral, mid-century, and moody vibes with a generous helping of lush greens. We were thrilled to have plenty of North-facing sun to play with, so we embraced the darker side of design! Rich reds, forest greens, and mustards became the stars of the show, and we sprinkled boucle fabrics throughout the space to make it extra cozy. We had to get creative with space, but we found a way to incorporate tons of built-in joinery that tied the entire apartment together. We decided to use a timber-look veneer to create a natural feel that would balance out the modern architecture. And let's not forget the fun part: all her colourful art and accessories to showcase on display. The end result is a vibrant and playful design that captures the essence of Nikki Weedon Interiors fun-loving style!

"Nikki was a true professional and took the time to really understand what I was looking for in my interior design project. She listened carefully to my vision and was able to translate it into a dark and moody design with all my favourite treasures on display."
